In the sun this car lloks like a dark mettalic grey. Cosmos black is my favourite bmw black. Jet black shows everything. The jet obsidian black is just that.

My first 745i was in the saphire mettaic. Black sapphire metallic vs. Bsm due to the metallic flake actually looks more like a very very dark grey than it does a black. I agree carbon black is actually a very dark metallic midnight blue it looks fabulous in the sun when it is perfectly cleaned however it is very hard to keep clean and shows more scratches than jet black sapphire black does seem to look sharper than the old cosmos black do yourself a favour and don t get any of the blacks there to much work to keep clean.

If there are more members who own black sapphire than jet black obviously black sapphire is gonna be the winner. Black sapphire is a sexy color. Carbon black nicer when it s clean but doesn t stay that way very long. In direct light it does look like a lighter shade of black but it sparkles so beautifully with the metallic in it.
